ABOUT

Dr. Kristin Bendikson finished her residency training at Harvard and fellowship at Cornell before returning to her home state of California.

Kristin joined Kindbody in 2021 to help launch their new Century City Location. She will also serve as Kindbody’s Director of Clinical Development.

Before Kindbody, Kristin practiced at USC Fertility for almost 14 years where she was an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the USC Keck School of Medicine and served as the associate fellowship director. There she founded the USC Center for Pregnancy Loss and the USC Fertility Diagnostic Testing program.

She has been the Chair of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine’s (ASRM) Patient Education Committee since 2016 and serves as a member of the ASRM Practice Committee.  She has been on the board of the ASRM Early Pregnancy Loss Special Interest group and served as President in 2020.

Her extensive training and years in practice have prepared her to deal with the most difficult and challenging cases.  She is an expert in ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization, egg freezing and fertility surgery, as well as the management of other disorders including recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.

It is her goal to provide the highest quality care for her patients and to help them fulfill their desire of having a healthy baby, whether that be now or in the future.  In addition, she strives to guide her patients through what can be a trying and difficult journey by providing them with the support and personal attention they need and deserve.

Fertility expert, teacher, and researcher, Kristin is also a married mother of two kids a 90 pound Bernadoodle.

Education

Dr. Bendikson graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in psychobiology. She earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine where she received the James E. Constantine Award in recognition of her excellence in obstetrics and gynecology.

She completed her residency training at Harvard Medical School, working at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital and served as the administrative chief resident in her last year there. She received her subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the world renown Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Publications

In addition to seeing patients, she has contributed to groundbreaking research in the field. Dr. Bendikson has presented her award winning research at both national and international conferences. She was the principal investigator of several research projects including the investigation of embryo implantation  and vitamin D and its role in infertility as well as natural cycle IVF.  She has authored and co-authored numerous publications on a wide variety of topics including most recently:

  • Comparison of IVF protocols for women with diminished ovarian reserve
  • IVF outcomes in women of different ethnicities
